Home Show Highlights

The 10’ x 11’ exhibit space is part of a “Designer Pavilion” presenting vignette displays at a regional annual Home and Garden show.  The theme “Homes, Gardens, and Food” were to inspire each space.

For example, the 1992 room is inspired by emerald and amethyst create a striking color palette.  A contemporary oriental area rug in a grey neutral ground accented with melon, blue and amethyst motifs creates the background contrasted by the emerald green walls.  The chairs, console table and pedestal are limited edition Biedermeier, and the grey granite textured chintz love seat is draped with emerald and purple leather hides.  The wall screen tells the dramatic tale of King Neptune protecting his daughter from a warrior and an antique Chinese trunk adds the oriental touch.  Accessories are a tasteful blend of the old and the new, personalized with a Victorian-era heirloom clock.  A room to “live in” with an intimate atmosphere resulted.

In 1991, this eclectic home show room layered in colors was inspired by the colorful paisley chair fabric.  Note the gold leather inserts in the carpet and the live “gold” fish in the bowl on the brass cocktail table.
